It was great to go to Boston for AWP, meet the tireless and fearless editors of Rose Metal Press, and launch the book.  Many people seemed genuinely interested and excited by it, which is gratifying.  I also participated in a reading / art collaborative which resulted in a letterpress broadside of one of the poems from the book (below).

I’m particularly excited for the book release in my hometown.  So come down to the Boswell Book Company this Saturday, March 16th, and 2 p.m.  I’ll be reading with the delectable Charles P. Ries, whose new and selected poems, Girl Friend & Other Mysteries of Love was just released by Propaganda Press.  The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel recently had a nice write-up about Ries and his work.  And afterwards, y’know, there will probably be Belgian beer at Cafe Hollander.

The broadside’s art was done by James Weinberg, and the letterpress was a collaboration between Rye House Press and Rope-a-Dope Press.  I’ve always been interested in letterpress work, and the broadside is beautiful.  Plus, “Asteroids” might be the only poem in my life that uses the word “jizz,” so that makes it doubly suitable for framing!
